Brandon + Sara’s Wedding

“Oh her eyes, her eyes
Make the stars look like they’re not shining
Her hair, her hair
Falls perfectly without her trying

She’s so beautiful
And I tell her every day…

… When I see your face
There’s not a thing that I would change
Cause you’re amazing
Just the way you are
And when you smile,
The whole world stops and stares for awhile
Cause girl you’re amazing
Just the way you are”

– Bruno Mars, ‘Just The Way You Are’

This was the most beautiful winter-wonderland icicle drenched wedding I have ever seen.  From the snowy bridal session we had a couple of weeks before the wedding in the awe-inspiring Idaho mountains, to the crystals dripping off every decoration at the church and reception.  Sara and Brandon had a magical celebration of love.  The Cathedral of the Rockies was absolutely stunning for their ceremony, and the Stueckle Sky Center glittered into the late hours of the night.  We were so excited to be a part of this incredible day.

Thank you to all of the other vendors that contributed to making this day just phenomenal!

and the biggest thanks to my amazing 2nd photographers: Jena Maxwell and Jenn Whittig!

At the end of January, Jena and I met Brandon and Sara in Sun Valley to capture their bridal portraits.  Here we allowed them some private moments for Brandon’s first look at Sara in her absolutely divine wedding dress… I think his face said it all.  After their first look we had about an hour to capture some of my favorite wedding portraits I’ve taken, with the mountains as our backdrop.

The morning of their wedding kicked off bright and early, as the girls started hair and makeup around 6am.  When we showed up at 8:30 the hair and makeup team was in full production for the stunning bridal party.  From the Grove Hotel, we all went over to the Cathedral of the Rockies, where the amazing Sanctuary provided a regal setting for the formal photos of the wedding party and family.  The Stueckle Sky Center hosted the reception, with stunning views of Boise, the stadium, and the mountains gracing us until sunset, when the glittery interior provided the perfect setting for this icy winter wedding after dark.

Marti Scott - I’ve know Sara since she was just a very young child. She was a beautiful child with the sweetest spirit & she has grown into a most beautiful woman & remains to carry that sweet spirit with her. She was the most stunning bride I have ever seen. The wedding was absolutely amazing. We were so blessed to be a part of their celebration. It will be something we will remember for a very long time. We pray that God will bless their marriage with love & happiness for years to come. Brandon & Sara are so perfect for each other. I never met Brandon before the wedding but just by everything we experienced from the wedding, I just know that God meant for them to be. We love you, Steve & MartiReplyCancel
