I’ll just say it up front… if I get a call and the person says “Do you photograph in McCall?” I will clear my schedule to be there. Yes, I photograph in McCall… it just so happens to be one of my very favorite places to go. So, when Jac and Tanner decided to have their engagement photos done in McCall, I was completely game. We shot this session in July and it was beautiful up there. I know most people hope for sunny days, but the clouds over the mountains and the lake made this such a dreamy and romantic session, on top of the stunning location. We started the session in Ponderosa State Park, with their beautiful daughter Ava. She is beyond sweet, and was so good in front of the camera. This little family was model material, every single one of them. After we photographed on the lawn, I decided to walk them over to the beach area on the lake… it was totally empty and private so we were able to get some sweet couple images of Jac and Tanner, and a few additional family photos with Ava before she was done. From there, Jac, Tanner, and I drove deeper into the park and went up the peak at the narrows of the lake. By this time the clouds had rolled in heavily and the skies were so dramatic. Jac’s gorgeous royal blue dress was the perfect color against the rocks, evergreens, and clouds. Their wedding is coming up in the summer of 2015 and I am already dreaming of my days back in McCall, this time to photograph their stunning vows!
